David Stanonik- 24

Fort St. John, BC - Transportation
David was employed as an Engineer with a British Columbia gas company. He died on December 21, 1998 in a motor vehicle accident. A tractor trailer unit traveling at 100 km/h in a blinding snowstorm hit a service truck which in turn hit David’s vehicle, head on. David had just passed two tractor trailor units traveling south causing whiteout conditions for David who was traveling north. He never stood a chance as he would not have seen the accident between the other two vehicles. Dave lived life to the fullest, enjoying sports and music. He received many awards including an award for academic excellence and service to his community and school.
